Here I was driving to work, and just had to stop to snap a few ice trees. I mean snap a few photo's of the ice trees.. The chiming branches creeked under the added weight, yet the gentle wind played.
Today is Saturday and the ice remains covering everything..clothes line, telephone line, icicles abound and it is clean, white, crisp snow..not dirty.
You'd think I really liked winter...wouldn't you. oh, so wrong. Yet, each day as I've scraped, dug, plowed and waited for the vehicle to warm up...I do try to find something beautiful in it all. I came out from work on Thursday and the car was glistening and covered in 2" of smooth ice. Everything was so quiet and the sky was clear...twinkling stars seem to be reflecting off the cars and it was quite magical. We've continued to lose more trees all around...the branches just can't take the weight...
I fertilized all my indoor plants and repositioned them into the sparse sunlit area's of our home...and they've perked up..with lovely greenery and flowers!..I can feel the longer light days now and do enjoy not heading off to work in the dark!!
I'm trying to stay active..as I'm sedentary.Walking and toning at the local "Y" seems to do it for me. Jannah had given me a walking book and a minidisc player...light enough to fit into my pocket while I walk... Dave Matthews..full blast certainly gets me pumped..to walk on!!
I must make some alternate discs for variety, maybe this weekend.

Magical photos Leslie. Even though I hate this season....there are some beautiful parts to it.
This is the time of the year that I am soooo glad I'm not in Owen Sound anymore. The sun out here is glorious and it's not anywhere near the freezing temperatures you guys have...it's been hovering at about a high of 8 (cooler at night-almost to 0) but the sunny days fill me with warmth...I can wait till summer again...only a few months-Jannah
