Yes, it actually got worse.

As I slept, knowing the trees had bent over here and there.... I had no idea of the damage.
The Valley got the worst damage ..lots of rain...drop in temperature...ice..then lots of wet , heavy snow..not the light fluffy stuff.. Sarah just got home from Guelph and said "what happened mom...the whole street looks like a tornado hit it". Lot's of old growth trees... old growth for here... are snapped.. Bruce came home from work at 8am and we worked until 1pm..dragging, cutting, shovelling and snowblowing the laneway out. More photo's later... Our hydro went out at 4am and didn't come back on until 4pm... the house was chilly...
