Capilano suspension bridge

The weather cleared in the afternoon so the 3 of us headed to Capilano. Aside from the entrance 'environment'...etc.. the bridge and the other side of the valley with its elevated walkways in the trees, was enjoyable...

There weren't many folks on the suspension bridge..so it looked do-able to me.

As I reached the mid-way point..carefully walking along..... a large group of teenagers from a private school arrived on a bus and entered the suspension bridge running and trying to shake the bridge!!

I hate sway.... and got off the bridge as quickly as my stiff legs would go.....which spoiled my plan to stop and look around at the river below etc.
The bridge "keeper" ...told the teens to stop the activities... I avoided them on the way back!!
It's quite a walk...and yet feels, very stable.

Here's a view of the valley below.. about 40 stories away... Amazingly tall cedars, and fur trees . Posted by Picasa

These are beautiful pictures....I think I could "do" these events...maybe...well at least the bridges have a level footing and that is what I need...a flat bed on which to walk.
