A weekend in TO April 07

The family Brown said Goodbye to Jim in Toronto and it was good to reconnect with folks we hadn't seen for quite awhile. We all look much older than the last time, as time marches on.

B and I took the opportunity to stay downtown at a guest house and do some well deserved shopping... (me mostly!) beads, LUSH stuff, and a delicious meal here and there. B said "too bad we couldn't stay a little longer!"... hmm... maybe he's learning to let go a bit...

A decision was made to find another soul's headstone..as she was a bit of a family mystery, and there's always a few of those. Jessie was Bruce's grandmother...whom he never met...she died before he was born, yet she bore 3 children.. all males. All of whom did not speak much of her. (1 brother died in the war)

We found her burial plot under the name Elliott...not Brown, and did a small tribute to a woman forgotten by all... left a few biodegradeable red tulips...and somehow felt she achieved some recognition for being. Strange...as I don't really believe in burial plots..yet because of this families burial plots...we were able to seek her out. Food for thought for our own family.

While in TO we also met L's daughter, M. and we had looked forward to meeting M. She had visited us long , long ago when all the kids were small...and now she had decided to spend a fews days visiting her relatives who live far away from her home.

We welcomed M into our life up in OS and had a fine time together.. Uncle B...showing her the sites... Aunt L... being shown new music venues and sharing stories... Cats...welcomed M as well..like she was one of us... quite interesting to watch. Good to have spent some time with you M... You have much to offer...

M and L getting a good-bye hug...
Hope we keep in touch .. and share our life journey's..

Man, the sticks behind our heads...are my 'Rose of Sharon' shrub...and in less than a month's time and the heat of ole sol.... we have leaves blooming now~ There's winter damage, yet the sticks survive!!
S came to visit the family in TO as well and of course ...I was pleased to see...my youngest... again..

Cousins... tried to connect up and share a few moments.. Each following their own life's agenda's...

Families come in all sizes, configurations, and dynamics... and I think ours is one I'm glad to be in...
