Kayaking at Lion's Head 07

Bruce rented a red kayak...yes, from Suntrail..and of course Paul asked what Jannah was up to... briefly updated him..

Bruce struggled to fit into the kayak and couldn't get comfortable.. he almost gave up... took an hour and after shoes/socks off... seat back lowered... and foot pedals adjusted out of the way... he felt better...
He almost was abandoned!!

Grumpy...

I love the contrast of the hidden rock depth view through the water...and B floating along the channel between 2 large landforms. Yes, the tourquoise water is real...
Beautiful "Lion's Head".. outcroppings of all types of rocks.
Pitted, smooth, rugged, pebbley, boulders, white, black, red... (Limestone/granite/feldspar/iron) and of course lots of birds, and greenery.

Last year I couldn't get near this tunnel as the water was higher and way more turbulant. This time it was enchanting. I think it may also be a bat cave up above...perfect spot for them.

I've since learned that the Great Lakes have been loosing water due to the St.Clair dredging that was done... it's horrid to see.
Bruce got more relaxed and began enjoying himself...and took some great photo's... You'll need to check out his blog for them.
Ok, here's another of B's... framing me... posed..
Nice effect I think... clear water rock...a spot of colour

Good paddle , I enjoyed it thoroughly..
First paddle of the year...
