August splendor...

This is my Kalwar Sameeze...I think that's correct?? Indian outfit I was going to wear to my nephew's (Mathew's) wedding....but I chickened out... ..luckily my neighbour rescued me with a few loans of clothing...merci G...
I do like the brilliant colours of the rayon wear or cotton wear...from Gerrard Street... just don't like the stiff fabric...so I took a chance to soften it up a bit...and washed it..in cold water... and hang it out in the warm breezy weather today... It's instructions said "dry clean only"...so we'll see how it fares... It's made up of 3 pieces...tunic top (on the far left) pants, and the scarf... natch..

Here's the sisters... lovely surroundings and perfect weather for the outdoor ceremony. Everyone behaved and all were convivial... Joanne was very relaxed about the whole 'son getting married' thing... right??!!

Here's the 'almost' anniversary couple... (next week is our 29th...yipes... ).. notice our Summerfolk weekend bands?? (red) ... we went to the evening concerts after the wedding dinner.... 3 days of music and some treats taken home.. Here's the bride, Lindsay and her dad approaching the
group of onlookers.....

Inside the newly built workshop and car port.

The head table all lit up... home style food and dessert ... good company and smooth sailing.. Lovely day.

Oh, it's so wonderful to see your family photos... and congratulations on your upcoming anniversary!!! The Indian outfit is absolutely gorgeous... I hope that it survived its wash and that you'll post a pic of yourself wearing it!
