A Wednesday adventure in Lion's Head

Today I travelled for work, up to Lion's Head on the Bruce Pennisula . It was a sunny, warm drive and I see that the land is greening up.

This view of Georgian Bay at Lion's Head is courtesy of a friend, Marilyn, who's house is on the cliff overlooking this!

The changes in water colour has always been very beautiful to me. Apparently from this height..184' above the water... the lightest colour of water is about 4', then 18', then 80' and then 180'!!! They tested the depth with their GPS just for fun.... and this is just the coastline!!

This is Marilyn and her new garden... Her husband just built the rail fence today for her!

Marilyn took me on a short hike into the forest and we foraged plants to re-pot at home. I also got a pile of fresh leeks to eat , yum.

Here are tiny orchids basking in the sun. Spotted leaves and a delicate yellow flower. They were everywhere!

Lovely day... Marilyn gave me some periwinkle for my back garden...mine's disappeared! Posted by Picasa
