Well here's the overnight 10-15cm...we rec'd. Luckily the old snowblower and Bruce have kept up with the laneway clearing.... hip hip...
And as Bruce settles down with a hot cuppa...after his outside efforts...yes,
the city plows always come along and leave a 3'high...mound at the end of the laneway...and I can hear the Toyota service men cheering on the damaged...lines and mufflers!! Here they come folks...
I've been super careful not to experience this damage..and yes, have even dug out the ruts here and at work....to avoid causing the Matrix any weeping/leaking etc.

I've been enjoying my book this am/aft "All that matters" by Wayson Choy...a fabulous writer of the Vancouver perspective ...bringing lessons to me of the Chinese heritage.... I loved the "Jade Peonie"..also his, and have a couple more to read after I'm done this one.
Sadie and Willow have the right idea.....curl up and sleep...warm.

The snow looks pretty but that is where it ends for me. The cats have the best idea and so do you - reading. The door is fabulous, doesn't it just lights up the whole hallway? I'm reading "The Namesake" by Jhumpa Lahiri and am enjoying it very much. Her writing is so lyrical and just flows along. I suppose that is why she has a Pulitzer price - I want to read "Interpreter of Maladies" next.
While I bet you guys would like a break from that snow, I LOVE the pictures! I miss the snow so much, I can almost feel the chill watching the pics ;)
