Ok, much has happened
in our lives..
The weather warmed up and suddenly over the past 2 weeks...everything is in bloom.
My fall plantings of many bulbs... produced many flowers!!
The squirrels didn't move them this year...and the mulch didn't bury them too deeply ...so they found their way to the surface and voila!!
Purple /mauve beauties...
And red T A L L tulips... trying to reach the hidden sun...
The sand cherry had tiny pink,

sweet smelling flowers, the ferns popped up...
and the daffodils...slowly
stood up to be counted!
Everything was dry..and the gardens are cracked and needed water.
I still like the paint colour choice on the front of the house... and now I have a place to sit and read on the front porch... that's comfortable and protected.

I love this time of year.. The varigated greens...are soothing to the eyes.. I wanted a green garden with multiple textures and I now have it.
Always room for another one though!!

Simplicity.
J arrived in Van safely after her incredible solo- journey to PPNG, Cambodia and Thailand... a momentous journey of the heart, head and spirit... Will she be unpacking her "container" which stores her belongings..? Oh, yes.. she will be unpacking it and sending the bulk of it to Australia! Yes, she has some wonderful opportunities that are continuing to unfold...and these will take place in OZ... not OS.. not Van.
We are still adjusting to this news..each in our own way.. and know this is her passion...and it will be fabulous for her. It's a very long way for a hug... and for a visit.. so we'll be thinking up some creative ways to stay connected. Connectedness is very important to our fam....
S has become wise beyond her years...in some ways, and offers seasoned insights... concerning this news of her sis... travelling afar. I listen with awe. We will all support each others dreams.. always.
We will miss the "face to face"... and will be buying the communication tools to help us maintain this now..!!

I'm sorry you'll be so far apart but your hearts will still be closely connected.
(and as to your last post, it was wonderful to hear your impression of it, I had such a wonderful time- my visit to see you both changed my life! I hope to see you again soon. :D )

Your front porch is beautiful...I think the curtain idea is good..I saw lots of curtains on porches in Key West. Your garden has exploded as has mine..love the spring.
