Pond evolution and more plants

Bruce tried to hook up the water through this old pump...he loves.
Too much wood...it doesn't pour nicely...so it's back to the drawing board...
Front garden.... soon another photo with the astilbe in bloom...lovely....

Some things must go.... the sand cherry is now gone, as of today...... I chopped off all the branches and have begun to remove the root.....unfortunately the winters have been very hard on this little garden...it's where all the snow gets piled...

The sand cherry was held together with rope/wood bandages...and still managed to bloom this spring and have leaves...you can see that it's not that healthy...yet I love the red amongst the green... so will need to work on this spot again. This is my second mature sand cherry to be replaced...

I love in picture #2 how all the plants are layed out just "so"...it looks very pleasing to the eye.

I'm interested in how your hanging tomato does. I have little teeny tiny green tomatoes on my "TinyTim".yay!
